​Mission and Purpose


The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation was created to 

Celebrate the life

of 

Cameron Taylor Fitzwater

by allowing his life and aspirations to live on by helping others pursue their dreams of higher education

as he planned to do in the Fall of 2012. 


It is about turning tragedy into triumph while building community spirit and giving.


The Cameron Fitzwater Memorial Scholarship Foundation 

awards four, $1,000 scholarships annually. 


 A committee of administrators, faculty, and staff select the recipients based on the following criteria:  

Must have been active in Boy Scouts, Choir, Drama, MACC Academic, Track, Wrestling, and/or Young Life.

Must already be accepted into a 2/4 College or University or a Technical School.

Must write an essay based on one of two specified topics.
